You don’t have to eat organs to be a “real” carnivore, especially if you don’t like the taste. You can get your fats from meat and plenty of other carnivore foods!
If you say fruit is a part of the carnivore diet (berries in limitation being the exception), you don’t know what you’re on about and are still a sugar addict.
Fruits are carb-heavy, sweet, and full of lectins too!
Let’s analyze:
1 — Carbs
Convert to glucose, which is sugar, and makes you store fat.
2 — Sweet
The sweetness comes from the fruit’s fructose, making them so “delicious.” Why? Because fructose is also sugar, with the same effect as carbs.
3 — Lectins
Fruits, like plants and grains, contain significant amounts of lectin, toxins that can cause leaky gut (celiac disease).
That dear friends, is the end of the story about fruits. What more needs to be said?
Let’s get back to the “fat of things!”
I, you, or anyone else do not need to consume organs to ensure we consume adequate fat on the carnivore diet.
That’s a myth, and I find it highly offputting when certain carnivore folks attempt to force you to believe this incorrect view.
Here’s what I eat or not. I do not consume it all daily — mostly, I eat meat, seafood, and eggs.
It’s my complete list of “keto-carnivore” acceptable foods, which makes the diet much more appealing to many and helps them to take the leap and give it a go. And that’s a big bonus in my opinion!
- All meats
- Organs (if you like them, I don’t, and you don’t need them)
- Fatty fish
- Seafood
- Eggs in abundance
- Butter
- High-fat yogurt
- Coconut oil
- Cheese (the harder, the fewer carbs)
- Whipping cream with 35% fat content
- Herbs and spices
- Hot chili peppers
- Garlic
- Onions
- Cruciferous vegetables (if you like — they are lectin and phyton-free)
- Berries
- Dark Chocolate
I’m neither telling nor asking you to follow how I nourish my body and brain.
You can read my thoughts on this in my story:
Here’s Why As a Carnivore, You Can and Should Eat Dairy Products — They Are Delicious, High-Fat, and Protein-Rich
What I can say is this:
I studied nutrition and healthy living in deep detail. I became a health coach in 2016 and have since coached hundreds of people back to excellent health, physically and mentally.
All my clients lost their excess weight, felt great, and other sicknesses vanished too — nobody failed!
So, my conclusion is this:
I must be doing something right with my food choices, advice, and my coaching.
I received a few off-beat comments about my position on organs from an unexpected source. That is why I am amplifying the truth and reality on this subject today.
Final Thoughts
You can get all the protein, fats, and other healthy nutrients from my food list.
And, no — you do not have to put organs in your mouth to be a “real” carnivore, especially if you dislike the taste and texture. That’s simply nonsense.
One of the most famous carnivores in the world, Dr. Shawn Baker, who also wrote the best-selling book — “The Carnivore Diet,” backs me up.
Like me, he also does not enjoy organs, so he doesn’t eat them. Simple!
Please take a look at him — then you will know what I mean.
Do you really think he’s missing out on some nutrients by not enjoying organs?
I don’t.
