Have you ever thought about how much sugar and white flour you consume per year? You should, as sugar and wheat flour are aging you and can even lead to premature death.
It’s scary to think about this, but it’s true. Sugar and wheat (white and brown) flour are nothing less than toxic for your body.
Back to the question about how much you consume:
The average person in the USA consumes about 150lbs of sugar and 130lbs of processed white flour per year.
Both have become staple foods and are in almost anything folks put in their mouths today. You’re often consuming sugar when you don’t even know it.
The “oh I don’t add much sugar to my coffee, and tea,” thinking won’t get you far.
They add sugar to almost everything and it’s everywhere. White flour and the millions of items made from it aren’t even on most people’s minds, let alone the fact that it could be unhealthy.
Let’s explore the foods
Sugar is tucked away in so many unexpected places in your savory foods, it’s insane.
You’ll find sugar added in:
- Bolognese Sauce
- Pizza Dough
- Burger Buns
To name a few, the list is endless. You can be 98% sure sugar is added to all sauces in restaurant food, canned and otherwise packaged food, mayonnaise, ketchup, BBQ sauce, dressings, you name it.
The bottom line: Sugar is in all your favorite dishes, sauces, and condiments.
White flour and the many foods derived from it are equally toxic as sugar. But the worst part is, that you’re likely and unknowingly consuming even more white flour-based items in your daily diet while thinking it’s healthy.
Bread, especially brown, whole grain, 7-grain bread, and even pumpernickel are sold to you as healthy food choices.
They are not. Anything containing wheat flour is as unhealthy for you as sugar.
The health effects
Wheat flour and everything made from it is digested and broken down into glucose in your bloodstream. This process then releases a flood of insulin from your pancreas to remove the toxic glucose (glucose is sugar).
The same applies to sugar, except even more insulin is pumped into your system faster, to remove the unprocessed raw sugar (glucose) from your bloodstream.
Your pancreas becomes overloaded, and will eventually shut down, resulting in insulin resistance, which is when you become diabetic.
Where does the glucose go?
Your insulin pushes the glucose out of your blood and into your fat cells, known as triglycerides.
The result: Insidious weight gain, making you fatter and fatter year by year.
The constant overproduction of insulin results in weight gain, which leads to premature aging and multiple potential illnesses.
Look at the people around you
All you need to do is look around wherever you go. Be that the grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants, or by walking in city parks, beaches, and the streets.
Most folks are overweight and look unhealthy.
How to reverse the aging process
The good news is this premature aging process and weight gain can be reversed at any age.
There’s no need to think you are too old or too overweight. By eliminating these unhealthy food items, containing white flour and sugar from your diet, you can turn back time, reversing your weight gain and the early aging process.
Within 2–6 months (depending on your starting condition) you can reduce internal inflammation caused by sugar and white flour, if not eliminate it.
If you make the change and remove these food items, you’ll naturally arrive back at your ideal weight for your height.
Most folks simply don’t know how bad all these foods are for them. You can’t be blamed either, as you find these staple items everywhere you go; they are the most popular dishes in restaurants and for takeout.
Candy and chocolate are teasing and luring you in every time you enter a grocery store or Starbucks, I know.
Sadly, it’s just the way the food industry has developed in the last 50 years, maximizing its profits with the cheapest and best-selling food, fast food, and junk food.
They don’t care about your health and if you end up with a heart attack or stroke.
