The next thing I observed was where folks mostly chose their food in the supermarket— 95% were in the processed, packaged food aisles, while the meat, dairy, and vegetable sections were nearly empty.
You can see my point when I walk you through my video here:
That’s the unhealthy stuff people put in their shopping carts – I see it all at the checkout counter.
This is what’s mostly purchased:
Cereals, Nutella, instant noodles, cake mixes, instant lasagna, frozen pizza, seed oils, salad creams, and sauces loaded with sugar, canned beans, carb-heavy legumes, canned soups with added sugar and seed oils, and of course, pasta, bread, ice cream, and candy!
The unhealthy food shopping list goes on and on!
95% of the population don’t know how food and drinks affect their health, body, and mind
That’s the 2nd biggest problem we face — the lack of understanding of what people eat.
The 1st problem is the food industry producing and tirelessly supplying unhealthy food while marketing it as “heart-healthy, nutritious, and wholesome.”
That’s why these mantras annoy me, as they help nobody:
“Everything in moderation.”
Rob Hourmont
“Eat a balanced whole diet.”
“Avoid red and fatty meats — eat only some lean meat, but mostly vegetables, whole grains, and legumes.”
The truth & reality:
1 — Moderation doesn’t work — nobody knows the line in the sand as to what’s too much – thus, the term “moderation” is ineffective and misleading.
2 — The “balanced whole diet” contains mostly carbs, sugar, fiber, and little protein – that’s not healthy.
3 — Fatty meat of any color is protein, which is excellent for the human body and mind. Whole grains are pro-inflammatory, as are legumes.

The food industry has misled us for years
The food industry has taken over people’s lives and sent most down the garden path believing processed grains, made with seed oils and added sugar, are “healthy.”
As you can see in my video clip, almost everything I show and discuss is unhealthy junk food, yet everyone thinks it’s normal and fine to consume.
In the old days, going back 30 to 50 years, all foods were cooked in animal fat or butter, which is now proven to be healthy, and what the human body thrives off.
Animal proteins, such as meat, eggs, and milk, are complete proteins, meaning they provide all of the essential amino acids our body needs. Animal products provide the highest-quality protein sources.

In the 1970s, Mcdonald’s used to fry their French fries in Beef Tallow — which is healthy animal fat.
That stopped when a wealthy businessman sued them for cooking their fries in what he claimed was “unhealthy saturated fat,” which, in his view, caused heart attacks.
Then came seed and vegetable oils, taking over worldwide restaurant cooking and home kitchens.
PUFAs — polyunsaturated fatty acids:
These oils are chemically altered and burn (oxidize) at low temperatures but are used for high-temperature cooking.
The result? The food you put in your mouth is burnt.
Consuming burnt foods can cause cancer by triggering a massive release of free radicals into your bloodstream.
“They have also found, in further studies, a slight link between acrylamide intake and kidney cancer.“

PUFAs:
“Oxidized PUFA can be dangerous when in our bodies, especially since oxidative damage to fat-containing LDL particles is a primary factor in the development of heart disease. And an omega-6-rich diet greatly increases oxidized LDL levels. The more PUFA we eat, the more that accumulates in our body’s adipose tissue.”

Free Radicals:
“Free-radical damage contributes to the etiology of many chronic health problems such as cardiovascular and inflammatory disease, cataract, and cancer. Antioxidants prevent free-radical-induced tissue damage by preventing the formation of radicals, scavenging them, or by promoting their decomposition.”

Healthy food is the opposite of what the majority believe:
1 — Carbohydrates convert to sugar, which causes weight gain and other health issues.
2 — Legumes, several vegetables, and salads also contain carbs that convert to sugar, which can cause a leaky gut (celiac disease).
3 — Sugar and anything containing it is as close to as dangerous as class-A drugs.
If you consume lots of sugar in one form or another, you may eventually suffer from metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and potential heart disease —America’s No 1 cause of premature death during the last 30 years.
“Metabolic syndrome is the medical term for a combination of diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension), and obesity. It puts you at greater risk of getting coronary heart disease, stroke, and other conditions that affect the blood vessels.”

4 — As stated above, meat of any color, certain types of fish, seafood, and eggs are nature’s superfoods.
5- Animal fats are heart-healthy – seed oils are not.
6 — Cruciferous vegetables are healthy because they are lectin and phyton-free. Lectins and phytons are plant toxins to prevent insects and animals from eating them. If you consume a lot of lectin-heavy plants, you may again end up with a” leaky gut” — a terribly painful condition.
7 — Dairy products such as cheese, whipping cream, high-fat yogurt, butter, and high-fat or raw milk are healthy. They are rich in protein and animal fats, on which the human body thrives.

Final Thoughts
It can be hard to understand that many foods you see and buy in supermarkets or restaurants make you unwell and potentially gain weight.
In summary:
1 — Over the last 50 years, the food industry has changed how most people eat.
2 — They promote low-cost, grain and sugar-heavy, highly processed foods.
Most folks, willingly or not, look for low-cost food and make their purchase decisions based on that factor.
Why are these items so cheap?
Wheat, corn, soy, and sugar are the words largest crops and are government subsidized. This promotes mass farming and huge-scale sales to the “big food” companies to make low-cost food sold to most of the world’s population.
The world is facing a serious and dangerous health situation.
