People talk too much, annoying the heck out of others.
There are 2 ways you can stop this from happening to you:
1. Shut the Fuck Up
2. Close your Ears
I don’t use curse words in my writing, but I decided to in this story simply because the constant “I know it best” chatter on social media and real-life are maddening.
However, I always do my best to take things far less seriously these days, and instead, I use this hard saying to boost my morale.
Last night I watched a movie featuring Robert De Niro as a Bounty Hunter in Midnight Run.
I tried counting the number of times STFU was said by the actor and lost count around 50. The saying has definitely become part of our daily lives, and the movie inspired me to write this story, from which we can all learn a lesson.
Don’t get me wrong, I say it to myself every day, both in silence while thinking and out loud.
The phrase at first seems negative, but I use it for my personal motivation and to firmly anchor my daily positive mindset.
Your mind is constantly wondering, thinking, and ruminating about the past while worrying about the future.
When I catch myself doing that I’ll say, Rob, shut the fuck up, don’t think about that garbage, you did good, are doing your absolute best, so just get on with it, be positive and happy, you’ve got this!
And boom, that’s how I immediately turn negative thoughts into positive ones, by happily cursing at and reminding myself that I’m on the right track and doing everything I can to be healthy and fit, in both body and mind.
Telling yourself to shut the fuck up with your silly old thoughts and doubt about your future is a super-powerful method to self-motivate, preserve your sanity, and not allow others to get in your head.
It’s easy to be negatively affected in your daily life, at work, in relationships, or just by crossing the street.
You can’t avoid it; negativity and challenging situations are everywhere. Yet you have the power to completely dismiss them by training your mind to absolute positivity.
If you’re feeling blue, disappointed, or angry simply tell your mind to shut the fuck up and get on with making your life the best you can.
You deserve it — it’s the best form of self-care.
