In my latest YouTube video, I reveal the real RUSSIAN MARKET in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
I strolled through the various sections of the market, the side streets, and cafes and bars nearby to give you a clear and concise idea about what this market and part of Phnom Penh is really about.
It is NOT a tourist trap like an ill-informed American blogger shouted out in one of his YouTube videos a few days ago.
This person is simply a tourist in Cambodia who is trying to cash in with his videos while not reporting the truth about this area or Phnom Penh, Cambodia as a whole.
His videos and so-called findings are his opinions yet far from the truth. That annoys me because I live here and he does not.
Now I know that all his videos are half-baked made-up stories with one goal only – to make as much money as he can, by telling fake stories which he makes up along the way, with his simple opinions, but not facts!
In Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the Russian Market is NOT a tourist area.
The Russian Market largely serves the local Cambodian people for food, housing supplies, and clothing.
There are some tourist sections with antiques etc., which is the case in every market in Cambodia or any other country.
One thing is for sure, the Russian Market is a great place to hang out, walk about, and grab some awesome food, or work, and relax. That’s the reason I live in this area.
I highly recommend the cafes and restaurants on the side streets, over the street vendors, for hygiene reasons and not to catch a belly bug!
Much unlike the American blogger, who recommended eating highly toxic foods deep-fried in cacogenic seed oils and as many sweet treats as he could get into his mouth to savor the “flavors of Cambodia!”
That is a shame, as Cambodian food has so much more to offer than what the American blogger put out in his video.
Meat, fish, seafood, fresh eggs, and vegetables are available in abundance everywhere, and they are “cheap,” high-quality, and delicious.
