How about you? Do you want to live a long, happy, and disease-free life? Unfortunately, many wrongfully think that getting old sucks, as your body and mind break down and all you can do is wait to die.
That’s absolutely not true. You can live a long life, free of illnesses and diseases, and stay fit and agile as long as you treat your body and mind as the temple that it is.
If you abuse yourself for most of your life with poor lifestyle choices, such as:
- Drinking beer all-day
- Eating carb-heavy and sugar-laden junk and fast food
- Drinking fruit juices and soft drinks
- Smoking
- Don’t walk, swim or do any form of exercise
- Not sleeping enough
- Don’t expose yourself to the sun
What do you expect will happen to your metabolic and mental health?
They will both suffer and leave you feeling like hell, overweight, with a weak immune system, constantly sick, angry, and depressed.
The above-mentioned negative lifestyle choices are 100% avoidable. All that’s required from you is to be aware you are making those mistakes, slap yourself in the face, and accept you must change your ways.
From my many years of experience in the health field, I assure you it’s not that hard to do.
Sadly, many old-school dietitians, nutritionists, and even doctors still have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to healthy food choices.
How many fat medical doctors have you met in your time prescribing your meds? I’ve met several — I (like most) fell for their poor advice on how to recover my physical and mental health.
All the docs and meds did was make me a paranoid, anxious, stressed, overweight, and depressed mess!
I went through 5 years of “health hell” until I discovered the root causes.
I immediately changed my diet and exercise methods and began practicing meditation, mindfulness, positive self-talk, and self-care.
Understanding my underlying problems allowed me to become aware of myself and my mistakes.
Previously I was utterly blinded by how poorly I was living my life while causing it to be a slow and painful train wreck.
I have nothing to hide — I openly share my rough times to help others heal
Nobody was there helping me at the peak of my depression and poor health.
My then-wife — a surgeon, no less — did not care about my condition and offered me no help. Instead, the opposite was the case.
The more down I went, the more she turned her back on me, showed zero empathy, and eventually divorced me.
It’s shocking but a true story:
We had 17 years of a loving, caring, and wonderful marriage. But when I became sick and depressed, she didn’t want to support me or deal with it. She decided to walk away.
Of course, that resulted in me spiraling further down the rabbit hole for a few months.
Thankfully, I soon figured out my problems, got a grip, slapped myself in the face, and started taking responsibility for my conundrum and change.
I had a stroke
The final straw and wake-up call was my stroke. It was a minor one, but still a stroke.
What did my then-wife say?
“Oh, stop going on about it — it wasn’t a major stroke!”
That says it all — they do not teach “empathy” or “healthy nutrition” in medical school.
It turned out I had built up considerable plaque in my arteries after years of living on the “Balanced Whole Diet”otherwise known as the “Standard American Diet.”
The SAD diet basically consists of around 80% carbs and sugar, vegetables and fruit (sugar), and very little protein — meat.
Funny that — protein — animal meats are the human body’s most vital essential nutrient!
So there I was a sad futureless mess at age 45. I had a stroke, was at least 65 lbs. overweight, frequently sick, and now along with the statins they made me take, on more than 10 heavy prescription meds.
I was becoming obese — I was definitely pre-diabetic and suffered from celiac disease for years without knowing.
As mentioned — I was a sick, negative, angry, and depressed mess.
The thought of another stroke or heart attack pushed me into action
I searched for the leading cause of strokes and heart disease — obesity was the result.
You can call it overweight, a little heavy, or fat, but if you’re honest, obesity is what it is.
You don’t have to be hugely overweight to be obese. That’s a misconception.
In fact, 80% of the folks walking the streets or sitting in restaurants I see daily are severely overweight while stuffing themselves with pizza, pasta, bread, rice, and sugar-heavy desserts.
- Do they not wonder why they’re fat and mostly look worn and torn, run-down?
- Does it not cross their minds that what they are putting in their bodies is ruining their metabolic and mental health?
- Or do they not care?
Sadly, at least 85% don’t know how food and drink affect their bodies, health, and mindset.
The worst part is that the food & beverage, pharma, and medical industries and governments do not want you to know.
If these powerful industries who spend billions lobbying the governments would collectively issue a dramatic health warning, they would save millions of lives.
People would recover their ideal metabolic and mental health within months.
How should that health warning read?
“Foods made from grains contain high amounts of carbohydrates and other anti-nutrients, which can lead to obesity, heart disease, and stroke.
“Sugar is a toxic, addictive drug that causes obesity and severe illnesses. It’s currently classified as food, which must change to a drug and have it banned.”
“Most vegetables contain the anti-nutrient “lectins and phytons.” These agents are the plant’s natural defense mechanism not to be eaten.”
“The overconsumption of vegetables can cause Celiac Disease, a painful, unpleasant condition in the gut.”
“Please refrain from consuming all fast and junk foods and snacks. These foods contain seed oils which cause cancer.”
“Your diet should consist of nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory, real foods, mostly protein, and healthy saturated animal fats.”
Wouldn’t that statement be a dream come true?
People would initially be shocked, but if they followed the new health and food guidelines, they’d soon experience massive improvements in their health and well-being.
These changes would further greatly improve people’s mindsets, optimism, productivity, income, and happiness too!
Final Thoughts
Sadly, my dream of a new “official healthy nutritional directive” will remain just that — a dream that will never happen!
However, that doesn’t mean we have to give up the fight against the culprits causing the massive rise in obesity and deaths of heart attacks and strokes over the last 50 years and continue to expose them and the truth.
The more you understand the significant health benefits and join the “clean and real” food camp, the faster the word spreads.
Together, we will help save people’s lives and repair their health.
