There are numerous unhealthy-looking geniuses and billionaires in this world sporting a terrible-looking body and face. You only need to look at some social media and software rock stars.
They are successful because of their clever minds and some help from their friends. Does that make them mentally healthy?
I don’t think so.
You can observe that based on some of their bizarre behaviors, comments, and views. One way or another, they always lean to an extreme while pushing their agenda.
The classic example even a blind man can see is Donald Trump.
Successful? Maybe, depending on which way you look at it.
Healthy? Not so much.
Mentally stable and clear? Highly doubtful.
There are many such examples — skinny or obese. You can be one or the other — it doesn’t matter.
My many years of nutrition and health coaching have taught me one helpful trait, which also disturbs me.
I can tell whether you’re metabolically healthy or not just by looking at you. The same applies to your mental health.
When I see a heavily overweight or anorexic person, I see stress written all over their face.
Why is this unpleasant for me? Because I see it all the time. And that’s a great shame.
An unhealthy body drags down your mental health
Once you become physically unhealthy, your mind follows suit.
It starts with being unhappy most of the time. Then you move on to anger and wind up with a severe bout of depression.
I know this all too well from first-hand experience over 8 years ago.
It’s a long slippery slope you don’t even realize you’re on for the longest time. It can take years — just like it did with me — until you admit to having a problem.
I was one of those people: Overweight, unhappy, and angry at everyone, life, and myself. Then, when the depression sets in, all bets are off!
I fixed my mental health by eliminating the toxins from my body
My health decline wasn’t mild. Let me tell you — I was pretty far gone in most departments.
The depression got so bad I’d stay up late most nights binge drinking until I’d pass out.
You feel like hell when you wake up the next day, and your mind quickly sinks to another low. It’s an endless and dangerous merry-go-round.
You end up with the worst thoughts occupying your mind — shall I end it here?
If that wasn’t bad enough, I was hit by a stroke at age 45!
Thankfully, that scared the life out of me. So, I took action to change and save it!
Once I realized my misguided diet made me sick and overweight, I eliminated the toxic ingredients.
Sugar, grains, and anything made from them, seed oils, and even most vegetables.
Once you go through the elimination cycle of bad health-damaging foods, you’ll soon see what’s left over, and that’s what you should eat.
Mostly meat, fish, seafood, eggs, healthy animal fats, and some election and phyton-free select vegetables.
That’s what I dialed my diet down to over 8 years ago.
My results:
- Lost all my excess weight of 60 lbs. / 96 kg within 3 months and achieved my ideal weight of 72 kg – just like when I was 18 and a professional skier
- Learned how to exercise efficiently while building a robust cardiovascular system
- Boosted my immune system
- Started to see myself and what was around me differently
- Calmed my mind with meditation
That was the start of my mental health healing campaign. Without knowing, at first, my diet cleansed and healed me from within.
Once that process was complete, my mind started its natural healing process.
I went through a massive shift in my mindset. I used to be a narcissist, only interested in myself and always right.
In other words, I was a mental health wreck.
I began to see things differently. I recognized my past mistakes and actions that had led to many problems in my life.
Now I’m a nutritionist, health consultant, trainer, writer, and author.
It was an incredibly eye-opening process.
Suddenly, you find yourself going from always being right and treating people badly to understanding you are the problem, not them!

Final Thoughts
Your body and mind are naturally intertwined. You can’t be unhealthy in one and healthy in the other.
This also has nothing to do with success or being a Billionaire — it’s about peace of mind and happiness.
They say money can’t buy you happiness. Does it really? I used to have a good amount of money, but I wasn’t happy — I was a jerk.
Now, I have a lot less finances, but it’s enough to live a good and above all happy and positive life.
What matters to me most today is that my mind is at peace, my body is healthy, and I am pleased with my life.
