Many people think coffee and caffeine are harmful, and many more anti-caffeine camps are pushing that message harder of late.
Many folks claim caffeine is merely an addictive stimulant, and you should stop drinking anything, which as coffee and tea, that contains it.
That’s not true, and here’s why:
Caffeine is incredibly healthy, and there is no reason to quit!
1. Caffeine in coffee and tea is associated with longevity, reducing the risk of Alzheimer’s, boosting cognitive function, improving mood, increasing testosterone levels, increasing thyroid, and helps the liver detox.
2. Caffeine is full of antioxidants, which kill free radicals in the bloodstream and, therefore, can reduce the risk of cancer.
Caffeine may improve mood, decrease the likelihood of depression, stimulate brain function, and protect against Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

Coffee is a potent source of healthful antioxidants. In fact, coffee shows more antioxidant activity than green tea and cocoa, two antioxidant superstars.

It’s a shame, misleading, and counterproductive when some folks attempt to brainwash others into believing coffee and tea are bad for their health and should be cut from their diet immediately.
The Potential Health Benefits of Caffeine
- Boosts Energy Levels
- Increased Metabolic Rate
- Improves Exercise Performance
- May Improve Heart Health
- Boosts Positivity, Productivity, and Mood
I drink 2 to 3 cups of coffee daily, mainly in the morning and then one after lunch. That’s the European way to enjoy coffee. In the morning I go for the delicious cappuccinos and after lunch espresso.
I make sure not to drink it after 3 pm as it can take up to 6 hours for the slight stimulatory effect of caffeine to wear off. Drinking coffee late in the day can affect your sleep and hinder your falling asleep.
Final Thoughts
Enjoy your coffee and tea, and don’t let the scaremongerers on the internet tell you otherwise.
