It’s impossible to get your head around the extreme vegan mindset — why they think they’re superior and can lecture “normal’ others to stop eating meat.
On the flip side, that’s just something I’d never do — telling random people I don’t know to stop consuming their chosen diet and shout at them to change it, or they’ll die!
But that’s what’s going on these days. People with no nutritional education or years of experience practicing diets, and healing many others, bark at you with this nonsense.
They say you’re mistaken, wrong, and a terrible person for following this belief system!
A system you know is the most natural way to eat, how humans have forever, and makes your body and mind strong, so you can flourish and thrive in life.
What makes these extremists even more unbearable is that they know nothing about you, your life, or your previous health conditions.
They don’t think about what you may have been through and learned to get to where you are today.
Instead, they make wild, ridiculously uneducated claims while denying the straight facts about the nutritional benefits of animal protein over plants.
Going back in history — 2015
In 2015 I had a massive health scare — I had a stroke. Thankfully, it wasn’t a major one, but it was still a stroke. It scared the life out of me.
I couldn’t believe I had a stroke at age 45. Okay, I was overweight but not obese. So how could this be happening to me at such a young age?
But then I took a step back, looked in the mirror, and noted my overall physical and mental health.
My analysis confirmed — it wasn’t good.
My high-carb, low-protein, high-plant, and sugar-based diet got me there.
I was on 10 medications for migraines, acid reflux, nausea, insomnia, hypertension, anti-depressants, mood boosters, statins, blood thinners, and endless supplements I’d feed myself, thinking they’d fix my health.
As you can see, it wasn’t pretty. I was more than 90lbs. overweight and a prescription meds-addicted depressed mess.
The stroke was my warning shot — do something, or it’s only going to get worse and be too late!
My transformation from a carbohydrate sugar burner to a fat burner in 2016
That headline, right there, saved my butt and gave me a life back — I became a “fat burner.”
I was very close to the edge at the time and suicidal thoughts often haunted my mind.
Once I discovered my food and drink were causing me to fall ill, I took action and dug deep.
I found the keto-carnivore, high-protein, low-carb diets and studied them. Yes, I studied food and took intensive and eye-opening nutritional courses.
I didn’t take action to change myself and fix my health before learning all I could about food and its effects on the human body.
What I discovered blew me away — I found the root of my problems.
I had been eating nutrient-poor, pro-inflammatory, sugary foods my entire life.
Once I learned everything I could, I transformed my body and mind within 3 months, lost the excess weight, and regained my strength and a positive mindset.
Celiac Disease
During my studies, I read about celiac disease — something I’d previously not heard about — and my eyes opened wider again.
My newfound knowledge explained the many years of horrendous gut pain I experienced in my early 30s.
Several times I was scooped up from my bathroom floor for an ambulance to bring me to the ER.
This was in the late 1990s in Austria — celiac disease or leaky gut wasn’t on their radar back then.
My gut pain and nausea attacks didn’t go away — instead, I spent 16 years on proton pump inhibitors suppressing the pain, vomiting, and stress.
After the stroke, I discovered these acid blocker pills I’d taken for plus 16 years could also cause a stroke. Great!
So I thought to myself: “damn, do I have a leaky gut, and is that why I spent so many years in agonizing gut pain?”
I got tested — sure enough, it was confirmed — celiac disease.
I’d been carrying this nasty disease for over 20 years. The meds only numbed the pain and nausea for 16 years.
That, however, didn’t stop the root of the problem. In my case, stool slowly but continuously seeped through my intestinal walls into my bloodstream, making me sick.
Once I understood my underlying problem, some other conditions, such as migraines, insomnia, stress, and depression, started to make sense.
Taking myself off the meds
After transforming to fat-burning, losing weight, and rebuilding my body and mind, I decided, it was time to take myself off the meds.
I was now confident that I could live a medication-free, healthy life.
After all, when I was younger I was never on any pills. I wanted those days back.
One by one, I let each prescription run out and did not visit my doctor asking for refills.
Did I run a risky experiment on myself? No. I understood I was now supplying my body with the proper nutrients and living naturally and healthily.
Coming off the meds was easy. I didn’t have withdrawal symptoms or any other issues.
I haven’t touched any medications or seen a doctor in over 8 years.
Today, like when I started eating animal protein and fat in 2016, I feel amazing and am healthy and stronger than ever at 54, in 2023.

Final Thoughts

“Vegans should stop telling food experts (or people like me) to go plant-based.”
I made myself a food expert. That took time and massive effort.
I subsequently healed the illnesses I suffered from myself, naturally, by eating meat, not plants and grains.
My story speaks for itself and reveals the truth about food and how to live a life!
It also HIGHLIGHTS why folks should never tell anyone, especially a food expert with a long and successful track record, to follow their diet!
